Terminal (axial) polys at branch tips usually large, distinct, and pale or brighty colored. Whn branches fuse into plates the growing edge is composed of many terminal polys. Some have thick branches with pale tips composed of many terminal polyps. Indo-Pacific and Red Sea species may be vivid blue, pink, purple, orange, green, or yellow. Caribbean species are golden brown with white growing tips
